Thursday 2nd April - walks **** – Orwell Bridge and Felixstowe Ferry
– a few sunny periods.
We had to take our cats to the vets first thing which went OK, then
returned home for breakfast and do my exercises, quite pleasant when the
sun came out in patches! I then packed a picnic and we drove to Ipswich and
parked near the Oyster Pub in Wherstead for a walk. We headed through
Fox’s Marina to pick up the River Orwell path leading to the bridge, the
tide was high and a small ship was heading upriver. It was then up to a
very busy Suffolk Food Hall and up to the little church on the hill where
we seat on a bench for lunch and lovely it was too:) We decided to return
the way we came as its much nicer, Mag then went to Bourne Nursery where
she got a nice selection of plants, I then went to get the van to pick her
up.
We then had another bonus hour or two with Maeva and her mum as she had
been to a disco down the seafront, she brought sausage rolls and donuts:)
We took them home before getting a call from our son in Deven before I
drove down to Felixstowe Ferry to catch the sunset – top day:)
The brilliantly named Storm Dave hits tomorrow but we are having Maeva
again but I might get out windsurfing on Saturday?
